Aloha Dear Friends,
We have finally made our plans! Our visit to the States was not very relaxing! We attended the ceremony for our daughter Julie's graduation from the University of Colorado in the cold rainy sleet! We inspected a house which Julie and Chris have recently purchased as their first home. They are in the process of moving in, which also means a change of address for us, since Julie is our mail forwarder. We packed boxes there and in Florida to ship to Hawaii. We were able to assist David's Mother as she was recovering from a massive heart attack and gall bladder operation in Florida. We cleaned her home and figured out her finances with David's sister, before she moved into a nursing home. We understand that she is returning to her home today to live unassisted. David had a negative result back from a biopsy which he had upon our return here to Australia. Needless to say, we are very happy to be back in Australia.
We have flip flopped from one option to another; and finally, decided that we could not leave Australia because we love it here so much. We have extended our visas to September 30, 2004 and our plans are to return here to the Mooloolaba Yacht Club next November 1 for the cyclone season. In the meantime, we have been busy provisioning and preparing to leave here, probably on Wednesday, to head north to Bundaberg, then north to the Louisades, the easternmost islands of Papua New Guinea to spend the winter exploring in warmer climes.
We are hoping to join the Brisbane Study Group for services more often upon our return. We would also like to attend SU again, so please keep us posted via email in regards to dates, etc. Both of our emails (WCZ3928@sailmail.com and KH7JL@winlink.org) will continue to work. We also assume that our cell phone (0405 761 819) will continue to work as long as we are in Australia and upon our return.
We look forward to seeing all of you upon our return. God Bless you all!
With Love, Peace and Aloha,
Ellen, David, Jason and Eric
